Dover welcomed Kennington to Tilmanstone knowing that 3 points would put them into 3rd in the league. It was stalemate until the 25th minute when Joe Birchall shot wide from outside the box but found Sammy EVISON who controlled with his left and shot across the goal with his right just inside the right hand post to make it 1-0.

After the break Athletic picked up the pace using Mikesh Patel down the right flank and the pressure took its toll on Kennington, it wasn't long before the Whites got their second again it was Birchall who headed it to EVISON who turned his defender and placed inside the right post for his second of the game, 2-0. Dovers third goal was a bit of brilliance from BIRCHALL who received the ball just inside the Kennington half, he then ran at their defence, played an excellent one - two with Luke Ransley and shot past the keeper to make it 3-0. Athletic then made it four when Danny TODD also ran at the defence, got into the box and cut his shot to the right of the keeper with his left. The goal of the game, if not the season, came from a free kick at about 35 yards out, it was indirect and Jordan Watkins stood at the ball, he then passed it back, with pace, another 5 yards to Jordan GEALER who blasted an unstoppable shot directly into the top left corner to make the final score 5-0. Due to other commitments both Dovers' U18 keepers were not available and we would like to thank Aaron Chittenden who stepped up as keeper from the U16s and payed well.
