Previous clubs: Millwall, Colchester United (loan), Brentford (loan), Scunthorpe United, Stevenage and Barnet (loan).
Ben May signed for Dover Athletic in August 2012 after leaving League One side Stevenage.
The tall centre forward started out at Southampton's youth academy in 1998, before playing at Fulham's centre of excellence for a year. In 2000 he joined Millwall and signed his first professional contract with the club in 2002, making his debut that August.
Ben scored 19 goals in 95 appearances for Millwall. He was also loaned out to Brentford, Colchester and Scunthorpe during that time. In January 2008 he made the Scunthorpe move permanent and spent a year and a half at Glanford Park.
His next move was to Stevenage, where he was part of the squad that earned promotion to League One during the 2010–11 season. May joined League Two side Barnet on loan in March 2012 and scored four goals in 11 appearances.
Ben left Stevenage in May 2012 and returned to his home county to train with Gillingham before Nicky Forster move to bring him to Crabble.
